How to Request a Tour of the Couse-Sharp Historic Site

Tours for the 2018 May-October season are available weekdays by appointment through Friday, Nov. 2. Please provide at least 24 hours notice -- our docents are all volunteers and it can be difficult to schedule at the last minute. Upon receipt of your request we will contact you to confirm your reservation.

Generally the first tour of the day is scheduled at 10, and because of the length of the tour (1-1/2 to 2 hours generally) we do not schedule tour starts after 3:30 pm. We try our best to accommodate your preferred day and time.

Please note: Due to environmental constraints, most of the Couse-Sharp Historic Site is closed to the public November through April. Full tours for the 2018 season resume Tuesday, May 1.

For the first time, the restored J. H. Sharp Studio, which opened in June 2017, will be open on a limited basis during the 2017-2018 winter season. Visitors can tour the permanent rotating exhibition Joseph Henry Sharp Studio: The Life and Work of an American Legend on Fridays by appointment between 10 am and 4 pm, except for Nov. 24 and Dec. 22. Use the tour request form above or call the office to make a reservation.

If you have any questions, need special arrangements, or in the event you need to cancel, please contact us at 575-751-0369.

The Couse-Sharp Historic Site is over 100 years old and is not ADA accessible.  We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience.
