Tours of the historic site

As always, tours of the historic site are docent-led and by appointment.

Tour appointments are available Monday through Friday and some Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays and federal holidays, as well as Thanksgiving Day weekend.

End of year holiday season closures: The site will be closed to tours and the gallery to visitors on the following dates:  Dec 18 and Dec 23-26, 2023; Jan 1, 2024

Tours last about two hours and we generally start them at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m., though this is flexible. There is no access to the interiors of the historic buildings without a docent-led tour.

We are fully complying with public health guidelines. Currently, masks are not mandated, but are welcomed and encouraged. We continue to monitor regulations and official guidance and amend our protocols as warranted. Thank you for your cooperation in New Mexico's public health efforts.

All of our docents are volunteers and come in specifically for each tour, so please book as far in advance as possible so we can get on their calendars. When you make a tour request, you'll get an automatic email response showing the dates and times of your request. This is not a confirmation; you'll receive personalized email confirmation if and when a docent can be booked for you, and we'll let you know if no one is available.
