¡Que Viva! (Saturday) - A celebration of the Taos community

Join us for a celebration of the past, present, and future of our Taos community! Through FREE programs and “Taos-centric” exhibitions, share and explore our history while preserving and celebrating traditions, customs and artforms.
¡Que Viva! is a grito (a Spanish celebratory exclamation) meaning “Long Live,” proclaiming that the traditions of New Mexico are here to stay.
Planned agenda for Saturday, June 7

- ¡Que Viva! Artes invitational local art exhibition and sale (in The Lunder Research Center)
- Timeless Turns: The Legacy of Tio Vivo history and art exhibition (in the 1830s Luna Chapel)
- Tio Vivo carousel rides & photo opportunities
- Santos carving demonstrations by the Barela family
- Local food and beverages
- Youth Heartline bubble booth
- Take-home youth planting activity with Los Jardineros de Taos
- Vintage automobiles
- Face painting vendors
12–1 pm
- Fiesta de Taos Royal Court promenade – ¡y el grito!
- Dancers and musicians performing in the historic Couse Garden
1–3 pm
- Open house tours of the historic site
